• Rebuy tournaments

‘Rebuy tournaments’ have consist of an initial period where players who have lost their chips are allowed to ‘rebuy’ more chips and continue with the game. The Rebuy period is set in the beginning of the tournament. Once that period is over, no more rebuys are allowed. A rebuy gives you the opportunity to buy more chips during the event. Rebuy tournaments usually lead to larger prize pools and generally costs the same as the original buy-in.

• Shout-outs

A shoot-out is a special kind of multi-table tournament. Normally in a shoot-out tournament tables are not combined. Here, players move from table to table to keep an equal balance of players at each table. The lucky last nine players then end up at the ‘final table’.

To get a double shout-out, you need to win two tables. Similarly, in a triple shout-out, you must win three tables to win the entire event.

A satellite is a smaller tournament where the prize is the entry into a larger tournament. Satellites are cheaper than multi-table tournaments.
